The Charlie Waller Memorial Trust aims to raise awareness of mental health issues and promote positive emotional wellbeing in children and young people. As part of its work to improve young people’s mental health and support those who work with them, CWMT provides the following for free:
Free sessions on a wide variety of mental health issues: assemblies, PSHE classes, workshops etc.
For school staff, pupils (primary or secondary), and parents – all tailored to your school’s needs. Complete a training request form here
Free weekly webinars about the mental health of children and young people
30-minute sessions every Tuesday during term time – for staff working with children and young people
Free one-day conferences for school staff about the mental health of children and young people
These events will enhance knowledge, attitudes, skills, understanding and confidence of school staff when supporting CYP with mental health issues. Delegates will take away practical strategies, resources, examples of best practice, and information about the work and resources of relevant charities and organisations, to help them support schools and their pupils with issues of emotional wellbeing.

Free booklets, leaflets, posters on mental health issues
Topics include depression, coping with self-harm, and warning signs – suitable for staff, pupils, and parents.

Free Mental Health book club for school mental health leads
Receive a book and accompanying resources once a term. These aim to enhance the skills, confidence and knowledge of those who work with children and young people, by providing them with resources they can use to promote positive mental health.
