From Monday 27th February to Sunday 5th March Beat, the UK’s Eating Disorder Charity, is hosting Eating Disorders Awareness Week.
This year, EDAW focuses on helping individuals with eating disorders receive treatment as quickly as possible.
Beat says: The sooner someone gets access to the treatment they need for their eating disorder the more likely they are to make a full recovery. But those affected by eating disorders face barriers to treatment: poor understanding of early signs and symptoms, misconceptions among medical professionals and limited funding for treatment among others.
Beat will be sharing messages during Eating Disorders Awareness Week via Twitter @beatED and Facebook @beating.eating.disorders
