What feels like forever ago, Izzi and I had the most wonderful day with some young carers who were having a respite weekend where we focused on wellbeing. As well as having great fun on high ropes (top tip, my availability is limited but if fun activities are involved I can be tempted at the weekend..) we worked together to create a resource to share more widely and it is finally fully designed, signed off, printed and ready to dispatch.
It’s a wellbeing action plan booklet which can be used by any young person to explore positive ways of keeping themselves well. It’s based on wellbeing recovery action plans (WRAPs) which are an evidence based means of supporting recovery in people with mental illness, but our version is more simplified and suitable for all either as a preventative or supportive tool.

I would love to hear your feedback on this – I’m very proud to have developed such a practical tool with young people for young people and think it will make a fun activity for small groups and whole classes as well as for use one to one. Please share your experiences of using it and let us know if it would be helpful to develop some lesson activities to go with it. You can see the workshop we originally used to develop it here – you could adapt this for use with your class.
You are welcome to share and distribute this resource as you wish. If you would like very large quantities please email the CWMT office who can arrange this for you.
Please let us know your feedback and how you are using it – we love to learn what works and what doesn’t so we can constantly improve what we’re doing.
Thank you and enjoy!
